Compulsory Training |
|
| eTAP runs a little differently than most websites a school is probably
familiar with. It has been the eTAP support team's experience that schools do need some
training on the package, but it is usually no more than learning to navigate
around the programme and performing fundamental functions.
|
| Training tends to work best when one or two lead assessment teachers or
interested teachers undertake comprehensive training so that they become
very familiar with the software and can train other teachers at the school
where and when required. |
| The eTAP support team offers a comprehensive training programme that is created in
conjunction with the school. A professional development format is
established, taking into consideration the skill levels of the staff and the
way the school choose to use eTAP (for example, the modules used/method of
data entry). The eTAP support team work to an agreed timetable for training,
including dates and the number of people attending. |
| It is important to establish a communication process, so that the school is
kept informed of what has been done and what training is recommended, given
a current situation. |
Additional Training |
|
| Additional training is available and always encouraged. Additional training
is charged at an hourly rate. |
Help Guides |
|
| Training includes the provision of help guides, either generic or specific,
depending on how the school has chosen to use eTAP. |
